This project consisted of removing an existing spillway and
diverting the existing stream. The challenge of the project
was to keep the site dry 24 feet below grade of an existing
stream to install the foundation footings and reinforced concrete
walls. The project involved removal of vegetation, trees,
as well as the sluice gate of the existing spillway and its
concrete foundation, installation of new 50 foot wide spillway
with sluice gate, 5 foot wide pedestrian bridge and rip rap
bank stabilization.
